The Limestone “blank”, for the relief was fabricated from two 4’ x 8’ x 1’ rectangles of Indiana Limestone. These rectangles were shaped into two hemicircles. Here the hemicircles are being united to form the blank, which is 8 feet in diameter and 1 foot thick.
